NEWS! The 2010 Battle of Lancaster has its date set it will be held Oct. 8th 9th and 10th
2010 at the Garrard Co. Fairgorunds.
October 14th, 1862
Confederate forces under comand of Gen. John Hunt Morgan were fired upon with cannons on the morning of October 14th,
1862. Although there were no deaths one confederate was injured and as a result of his wounds died at his home
in in Mississippi.
